Well its going in again next week for the 6th or 7th time as last week when I pressed my back into the seat, I heard to clunks and the head rest popped out and the back of the seat lost all strength. They reckon it should now essentially be a new seat. The car has been into 2 Vauxhall dealers approx 6 times, its had a new headrest, seat frame, clips, prongs, you name it, its had it. The head rest has cables going into the back of the seat and its all connected via these cables to the back/lumbar support.Īnyway, on my Insignia the front part of the headrest that isnt supposed to move in and out comes away from the back and the headrest becomes loose so comes in and out as I press against my back into the seat. The headrest in moves up and down, but shouldn't swivel front and back. I have a 14-plate Insginia Design, company car, and have had it go into Vauxhall 6 times for the same re-occurring issue, so im intrigued to see if anyone else has had the same issue or not.īasically, the Insignia's appear to have what is called an Active Head Restraint, meaning in the even of an accident, the front part of the headrest shoots forward in the hope that you wont have a massive neck injury, thus supporting your head.
